Uganda 2000 - Apac District

Apac Project 2000 | Project Photographs

The 8 strong Apac Unit were drawn from several parts of the England and Wales. If the training camps were anything to go by Welsh Tilly was expected to keep them in place with her voice and lovely humour.

We await some information from them as a Unit - does anyone know if they are still in Uganda?

For the moment we have some bits from Tilly.

Welsh Tilley, or is it Tilly, led the singing on the British Airways flight to Entebbe at the start of the Uganda 2000 visit. The rest of the passengers looked on with amazement whilst some joined in until at last the UK Scouts fell to sleep.

Now Tilly features in "New Vision" a national newspaper in Uganda.

Now can you guess the answer to the competition?

Report from Apac received 310800

The Apac team covered a large amount of ground in getting to and visiting the villages and Scouting Community of Apac.

The welcome we received was as warm as any in any Welsh hill-side, and this continued throughout the week, whether it was visiting Schools, or working hard building a new Scout Centre.

The highlight of our week was the District Camping Competition. Showing off their Pioneering, singing and dancing skills, in abundance. The 70 plus Ugandan Scout Patrols gave a wonderful display culminating in a campfire to remember.
