The Uganda Network members said Good Bye and Thank You to International Manager David McKee at its recent meeting. He is leaving to take up an appointment with WOSM in Geneva.

Uganda to host Rover Moot

Uganda is to host the first ever Rover Moot for the East African Scout Region. The region covers Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

The Rover Moot will take place from 14th to 17th October, 2004 at Buwenda in Jinja. The main target is scouts and youths between the ages of 18 to 26. (30 maximum age)

Uganda is also inviting older observers and participants from other countries of the world are also welcome

Chairman of the Organising Committee is Eric Kibeddi and those interested in attending should email Eric as soon as possible.

Uganda Scouts to attend Youth Workshop
Five Ugandan Youths will be travelling to Nairobi Kenya for a week long youth leaders workshop from 4th July. The contigent will be led by Eric Kibeddi and the other people going with are: Prossie Mbambu (Female Youth Representative on the National Scouts Board), Brenda Bagonza (Organising Secretary on the National Youth Committee), Ivan Mukwaya (General Secretary on the National Youth Committee) and Pius Ikongit (Male Youth Representative on the National Scouts Board).
 
Jinja Welcome Awaits You

A warm welcome awaits you at the Jinja CampSite which was developed by Avon County over a ten year period as its AVONJA project. The camp site has excellent facilities over looking the River Nile with camping as well as indoor hostel accommodation.
